Project Description: A Rube goldberg is a wonderful thing, it is a fun way of making a simple task difficult, in 10 or more steps we were told to get a task done, it could be difficult and it could be easy but you must all work towards a simple goal. our rubes basic goal is to turn on a light, not that difficult, but we decided what is a better way of doing it then dropping something very very heavy on it, we did this by dropping a marble down a track that goes through mid air and activates a mouse trap, which knocks over some dominos that then proceed to hit a mousetrap that hits up a bar pushing a marble up and onto a track on the back then, it falls down dominos hit dominos and activate a big Bolt, that falls off and that hits a swich in turn, switching on a lantern.
1. What hands on skills did you learn through working in your group? (construction, problem solving, collaboration, design, time management, etc...)
Personally I learned to collaborate and to keep myself from getting too angry when things didn’t go the way it was planned, and I think that these skills are very important to build a successful project
2. What was the hardest part of doing this project, how did you persevere?
More than likely the working with people part as sometimes it is hard but you just have to persevere, and when times get rough you need to trust that sometimes your “kryptonite” can become your greatest help.
3. What one physics concept from your analysis is most important to the overall function of your rube.
Velocity, velocity is how everything either moves or gets something to move, in a way you could say that speed and momentum are key as well.

Life in The Cold
As a group we decided that we should melt snow, in order to make sure that we could help people not die of dehydration in the dangerous wilderness. We made the experiment by melting snow in an aluminum pot, and keeping it at a constant temperature, as well as keeping track of how long it took. And with that we we learned a lot about how not to die in a winter environment.
My Role in the Group was the Leader and the Documenter, as well as sharing the job of data manager with Delany. I think that I did a good job of leading our group, and that I collected the data that we needed in order to make this experiment a success. I think that everyone in the group participated equally and we worked well as a team.
